Position Overview:

As part of the Experienced Kitchen Team, you will be an integral part of the guest experience, through the creation of healthy and delicious food.We encourage our kitchen team to be well-rounded team players, willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep your store running smoothly. No matter what position you start in with us, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained and will be tasked to take on different positions (depending on interest, skill level and experience) within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards on the front line.
• Prep all cold and hot items according to the recipe and direction of the Kitchen Manager.
• Follow proper knife safety.
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds comfortably.
• Learn recipes and maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for team members and customers.
• Ensure freshness and quality of prepared food.
• Follow Jan’s safety and rules regulations.
• Follow customer service guidelines.
• Follow the company’s security and safety procedures.
• Arriving for the start of shift ready to work on time and staying until all duties are complete.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and service within a restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
• Culinary experience with a focus on cooking and meal preparation.
• Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Previous catering experience is a plus .
• Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality.
